the importance of explicit coordination and alignment

tuesday, november 16, 12pm pdt / 3pm edt

In today’s workplace, collaboration is key. And that requires employees to regularly and fluidly align and coordinate their responsibilities and work plans with each other. In the new world of work, whether your organization has gone fully remote or is operating a hybrid model, this is somewhat harder to do. But it is not impossible.

So, in this webinar, we’ll explore how you as a leader can create practices to smooth over some of the challenges your employees are facing in collaborating with distributed team members.

Build and maintain trust

tuesday, november 9, 12pm pdt / 3pm edt

Trust is a MUST to create high-performing teams. Yet, the new workplace is putting our trust in each other to the test because without the crutch of being in the physical office together, we’ve lost some of the signals that help us to trust each other. We can’t see other people work, we have fewer sidebar conversations that help us establish and maintain rapport, and there’s lots of opportunity for miscommunication and misunderstandings.

In this webinar, we will explore how the hybrid workplace impacts the trust equation which determines whether people trust each other or not. Moreover, we look at some specific ways that you as a leader can address these challenges head-on in order to increase and maintain trust in the new world of work.

leading in the hybrid workplace:

balance autonomy and accountability

thursday, november 11, 12pm pdt / 3pm edt

Without all their people in the same office, many leaders complain that they feel severely limited in their ability to hold their people responsible for deadlines and results. As a result, to re-establish some sense of control, many leaders have put in place all manner of supervisory checks in hopes of “mitigating” the possibility of things going off-track. But, no matter how well-intended, too closely supervising your people or limiting their decision-making power usually backfires – because instead of helping to achieve the desired results, it leads to employee resentment and disengagement.

In this webinar, we’ll therefore discuss how to strike the right balance between enabling autonomy and maintaining accountability. To do so, we’ll explore why the increased use of supervisory measures might not be the answer, and discuss how you can proactively create an employee experience that inspires your employees to self-regulate their accountability.
